When you are eating paleo and trying to avoid food allergens, eating anything bread is a hard task to accomplish. Usually, our turkey burgers are wrapped in lettuce or all by their lonesome, but these cute little flatbreads definitely help spice things up a bit.

What I am going to give you is my basic recipe for making the bread. Then you choose these 3 things:
- Size- you can mold these into 4 smaller “bun-sized” flatbreads (which is what I did for this post), or make 2 “pita-sized” flatbreads, or have a hay day and mold it into 1 large flatbread (did someone say pizza?)
- Shape- OkOk…. I did round breads… but some of you may be trying hard to get your picky toddler to eat or maybe even trying to impress your lady, so Mickey Mouse heads and hearts could work too!
- Spices- I used the basic garlic base for my flatbreads today (Yum!) but feel free to play with these! Some spices I would recommend would be (pick 1-3):
- Garlic and Onion
Just be sure not to over do it! The more dry ingredients you add the more liquids you will need in your recipe. I don’t think Just a few spices will hurt but just to be safe keep it under 1t total.
Spinach Flat-BreadsParchment paper 1/4 cup + 2T coconut flour 1/4 cup coconut oil- melted 3 T flax seeds ground 9 T water 1 cup fresh spinach leaves 1 t baking powder 1/8 t sea salt 1 t honey 1/2 t garlic powder
Preheat oven to 350
Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Blend spinach leaves and water until liquified. Pour into a bowl and add ground flax. Stir and set aside for 5 minutes. Add coconut flour, baking powder, and spices to a bowl and whisk together. Then add finished flax product, honey, and oil and let mix until well combined. Pull dough out of mixer and divide into four pieces. Place dough balls on the parchment paper and shape into buns.Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes- I would flip them at 20 minutes to let both sides brown a bit!
Turkey Burgers1 lb ground turkey 1/4 t ground sage 1/4 t garlic powder ground black pepper
Heat skillet over medium high heat. Mix spices into thawed ground meat. Form into patties and place onto heated skillet. Let sear on both sides for about 2 minutes each. Turn heat down to med- med. low and let burgers finish cooking. Flipping often to keep moist.
